Client: Australian Research Centre of Excellence for Mathematical and Statistical Frontiers
Task: Logo concepts, design and development
Project: Concepts to file delivery
The client delivers world-leading research in mathematical and statistical theory and methods. The role of the logo is primarily to be memorable and to symbolise the different departments within the organisation. We were engaged to present different concepts and research into directions for the updated branding. For this we facilitated meetings with the client to guide the discussions of the logo concepts through a natural design process. The process of logo design often needs to flex to the opinions of groups. By following an approach which takes on the most relevant feedback and examines it with clear concepts, we can rule out certain directions. Understanding how decisions are made in a group prior to design work can be valuable at the beginning of a project so that the presentation matches the selection procedure. This is where our experience helps with larger organisations.
