Art Exhibition - Friends of Mine Restaurant Richmond.
Inspired by the art and design from the mid twentieth century, Nicholas Girling has personally created a collection of art for people who love bold and iconic colourful shapes and old mid 20th century posters.
The art exhibition opens at Friends of Mine Restaurant on 1st Dec 6 - 8pm 2011 at 506 Swan street Richmond Melbourne Australia. Come along for a wine and some art.

Recent work: Website development with CMS and gallery
This is an example of a portfolio style website where our role is mainly to stand back and let our clients own work tell the story. Here as web designers we have approached this project to simply organise visual information in an easily accessible way with clearly defined sections. The photographic imagery have been combined to fit into the layout which caters to both portrait and landscape pictures.

Here we wanted to portray the ideas of cleanliness, freshness, down to earth personality, balance, care and attention to detail. Sometimes it is best to let pictures communicate ideas. Messages still need to appeal to different clients as well as different personality types. We worked with our copywriter to produce the words to echo the imagery.
This work is also backed up by beautiful brochures and a 'pres' folder.

When you begin with great imagery, it's difficult to put a foot wrong. But one of the elements that I felt very strongly about with this project was to present the key partners in this business as a force to be reckoned with. You can see the photos of the staff members all sitting at a table - all appear to be offering something different to the management team. They each sit evenly spaced. I really like this shot. Each pose is very iconic in nature and we can get a great look at their unique personalities.
